Midland Avenue Trail

The City of Glenwood Springs contracted with us to transform this steep hillside (at 8th Street and Midland Avenue) into a park and pedestrian trail. Large red boulders were used to construct retaining walls. Road base, steel edging and crusher fines were added to define the path. Topsoil was imported for the planting areas. Concrete footers were built for benches, signs and trash receptacles. An automatic drip irrigation system was installed for plantings. All the perennials and grasses were grown at our facilty in New Castle.
